At His Island Outreach, our mission is to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through compassionate service and quality education. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—regardless of their background, language, or socio-economic status.
New Tutoring & Education Program:
We are excited to announce the launch of our new tutoring and educational support program, serving children from Kindergarten through First Grade—with plans to expand in the future. This initiative aims to close the learning gap and empower the next generation of leaders in our community.
While the majority of Islanders are English-speaking, all public schools in Roatán operate in Spanish. This creates a significant educational barrier for many children, especially the most vulnerable. As a result, countless students fall behind, not due to a lack of intelligence or potential, but because of a language gap and limited access to supportive resources.
We believe our children will thrive when given access to education in their heart language, alongside personalized academic support and a nurturing environment.
